Basketball Recap: Roseland Collegiate Prep Grizzlies vs. Tomales Braves
Roseland Collegiate Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 67-30 loss at the hands of the Tomales Braves. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tomales to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt Cornett, who had 24 points. Erick Dominguez was another key player, scoring 20 points.
Roseland Collegiate Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Tomales, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roseland Collegiate Prep will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on Sonoma Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tomales, they will take on Round Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tomales has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
