Recap: Ayersville Pilots vs. Montpelier Locomotives
The Ayersville Pilots put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Montpelier by a score of 37-24. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Ayersville has scored all year.
Ally Schindler was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Taylor Craft was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 14 rebounds and five blocks.
Ayersville's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Montpelier, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ayersville will square off against Kalida at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montpelier's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hicksville at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hicksville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 720th, while Montpelier is ranked 234th).
