Softball Game Preview: Basic Wolves vs. Liberty Patriots

The Basic Wolves will challenge the Liberty Patriots at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Basic and five for Liberty.

Basic lost 13-1 to Green Valley on Wednesday.

Basic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Kilar, who went 1-for-2 with one run. That run marked the first that Kilar has scored this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty faced Palo Verde in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 9-8.

Charli Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Logan Sanford, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Basic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
