Basketball Recap: Abundant Life Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Jaelle Vital and Emely Salce

Abundant Life Academy came up short against Emmanuel Christian Academy on Saturday and fell 45-32. While Abundant Life Academy didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Emmanuel Christian Academy 14-4 in the first quarter.

Abundant Life Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emely Salce, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 11 points and five blocks, and Jaelle Vital, who posted six points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Salce is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Abundant Life Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Abundant Life Academy will be home for the holidays to greet American Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Emmanuel Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
