Recap: Early Longhorns vs. Compass Academy
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Early Longhorns had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past Compass Academy 54-13 on the road. Considering Early has won five matchups by more than 34 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Early to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rohyn Price, who threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Andrew Reedy was another key contributor, picking up 174 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Early has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Compass Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Early is on the road again on November 17th and play against Canadian at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Canadian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 686 points over their last 11 matches. Compass Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
