Cathedral is a perfect 10-0 against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Fighting Irish will host the Braves at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Cathedral is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Saturday. They came out on top against Jeffersonville by a score of 76-63. The Fighting Irish pushed the score to 61-39 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Devils cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cathedral to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Gold Jr, who posted 12 points and six assists. R'Mani Wells was another key player, shooting 56% from the field to rack up 11 points.

Cathedral smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 64-56 to St. Xavier.

Cathedral will need to focus on slowing down Austin Ford, one of several Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory players who made an impact when they last played. He had 18 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Chace Ford, who went 5-for-11 en route to 17 points.

Cathedral took their win against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 76-56 score. Will the Fighting Irish repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
