After a string of five wins, Grand Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 66-57 to the Roaring Fork Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-51 back in January.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniel Gronewoller, who posted nine points and five rebounds. Gronewoller is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Andrew Horner was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 13 points.

Kiko Pena continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Roaring Fork, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Quentin Galbraith, who put up 12 points.

Grand Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Roaring Fork, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Grand Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-44 win against Soroco on the 1st. As for Roaring Fork, they have also already played their next contest, a 59-35 victory against Gunnison on the 1st.
