Basketball Recap: Roma's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Roma needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Alexa Verastegui. The Roma Gladiators were the clear victor by a 47-23 margin over the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies on Tuesday thanks in part to Verastegui, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, she also racked up eight steals, the most she's had since back in November.

Roma's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Juarez-Lincoln, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roma will square off against Cigarroa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Roma is facing Cigarroa at the right time seeing as Cigarroa is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Juarez-Lincoln, they will take on Mission at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
