Baseball Recap: Apache Junction Triumphs

Apache Junction's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the ALA - Ironwood Warriors 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Prospectors have posted since April 21, 2025.

Nathan Collier was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Trisoliere, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Apache Junction's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for ALA - Ironwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

When Apache Junction and ALA - Ironwood next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Prospectors will try to stop Valley Christian's nine-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, ALA - Ironwood will take on Benjamin Franklin and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
