Cristo Rey hadn't beaten Western Sierra Collegiate Academy on the road since April 28, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Saints had just enough and edged out the Wolves 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in March.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-102) Cristo Rey actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 23-25, 26-24, 13-25, 25-22, 15-11.

The victory made it two in a row for Cristo Rey and bumps their season record up to 3-5. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-16 Western Sierra Collegiate Academy and 2-3 Sacramento Adventist. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-16.
