Soccer Recap: Croatan Comes Up Short

Croatan lost against Dixon back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Croatan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Dixon are ranked 20th).

Croatan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-6. As for Dixon, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2-1.

Croatan didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win against White Oak on the 7th. As for Dixon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against West Carteret on the 6th.
