Basketball Recap: Klein Cain Comes Up Short

Klein Cain's tournament run continued when they took on Fort Bend Marshall on Friday. The Klein Cain Hurricanes took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 758th, while the Buffalos are ranked 299th).

Klein Cain has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Fort Bend Marshall, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Klein Cain and Lamar Consolidated will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Bend Marshall, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fort Bend Elkins at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Bend Marshall is facing Fort Bend Elkins at the right time seeing as Fort Bend Elkins is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
