Baseball Game Preview: Tell City Marksmen vs. Southridge Raiders

The Tell City Marksmen are taking a road trip to take on the Southridge Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tell City got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They skirted past Boonville 6-4.

Talon Jennings spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on eight hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Tell City is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Landon Sandage was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Southridge waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Knights.

Southridge now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Tell City, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Tell City suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Southridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Marksmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
