Soccer Recap: Vanguard's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Vanguard was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of West Port last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vanguard Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forest Wildcats on Friday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Knights couldn't quite close it out.

Vanguard's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2-3. As for Forest, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4-1.

Vanguard will head out on the road to face off against North Marion at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
