Volleyball Recap: American's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

American's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Newark Memorial Cougars. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

While American won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-23.

The win got American back to even at 1-1. As for Newark Memorial, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

American wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Washington on the 18th. As for Newark Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Kennedy on the 18th.
