Baseball Recap: Kingsburg Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kingsburg can now relate to. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho Cotate Cougars on Tuesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kingsburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Kingsburg's loss dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Rancho Cotate, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-13.

Kingsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rancho Cotate, they will challenge Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Padres will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
