Baseball Recap: Clifton Mustangs vs. Eastside Ghosts
Clifton came out on top against Eastside on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Mustangs walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Ghosts. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Trevor Rascher made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Clifton is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-10 otherwise. Rascher was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
