Pine Lake Prep beats Carver for their fifth straight win

The Pine Lake Prep Pride had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-44 win over Carver. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

Gabe Bolivar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 416 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Bolivar's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. Mikhail Massey got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Carver saw an underclassman step up: Antonio Samuels gained 137 total yards and a touchdown.

Pine Lake Prep's victory was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1. They've been dominating across those matches too: they took their wins by an average of 30 points. Carver has traveled a rocky road this season, as they've lost seven of their first eight matches, which gives them a 1-7 record this season.

Pine Lake Prep will square off against Corvian Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carver, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Island Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
