Volleyball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. Santa Fe Christian Eagles

The Classical Academy Caimans will take on the Santa Fe Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Classical Academy, who comes in off a win.

Classical Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Foothills Christian. The Caimans haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-7, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Todd Clemens, who had 11 assists and three aces.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Canyon Crest Academy.

While Santa Fe Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Canyon Crest Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16, 25-21.

Classical Academy pushed their record up to 22-11 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Santa Fe Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
