Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the Faith Lutheran Crusaders.

Landon Tews made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Juan Godoy was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Westminster Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Faith Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Westminster Christian will be playing at home against Western at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Lutheran, they will head out on the road to challenge Spring Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Faith Lutheran is facing Spring Valley at the right time seeing as Spring Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
