Basketball Recap: Bellevue Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bellevue can now relate to. They took a 72-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marquette Defenders. The Comets have struggled against the Defenders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Bellevue's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Marquette, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-1.

Bellevue does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marquette, they will face off against Don Bosco at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marquette knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Don Bosco likes a good challenge.
