Football Recap: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Eastlake Falcons
Bel Air had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Eastlake Falcons, falling 70-50. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 12 in a row.
Bel Air's loss came despite strong showings from Angel Dominguez and Marquette Beard. Dominguez threw for 537 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt, while Beard picked up 266 receiving yards and four TDs. Julian Williams went supernova For Eastlake., throwing for 343 yards and five TDs on only 14 passes, while also punching in one score on the ground. Junior Trotman was Williams' top target, picking up 83 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 81 yards and one score.
Looking ahead, Bel Air will be playing at home against Irvin at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Eastlake, they are taking a road trip to take on Permian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
