Softball Recap: Narragansett Wins Going Away Against Shea

The Narragansett Mariners got the win against the Shea Raiders on Thursday by a conclusive 22-5. The Mariners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Narragansett has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Shea, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Narragansett wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-11 defeat against South Kingstown on the 28th. As for Shea, they will welcome Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.9 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
