Coronado waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Del Valle Conquistadores by a score of 64-57. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunderbirds also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Several Conquistadores players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Nunez, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. What's more, Nunez also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Byan Mei, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points along with six boards and three steals.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Del Valle, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Coronado wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-48 victory against Americas on the 27th. Del Valle has also already played their next contest, a 62-55 win against Socorro on the 27th.
