Softball Recap: Boone County's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boone County). Everything went their way against the Nicholas County Bluejackets on Saturday as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Rebels not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 27, 2024 (when they won 25-9).

Boone County's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12. As for Nicholas County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Boone County will take on Frankfort at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Nicholas County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Dayton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
