Football Recap: Prairie Heights Comes Up Short at Home Against Whitko

Prairie Heights unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 30-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitko Wildcats on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Although Prairie Heights took the loss, they still got scores from JOEL GRABER, DAVID MASON, and CONNOR SIZEMORE.

Cooper Laukhuf went supernova For Whitko., throwing for 151 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 57 yards. Mason Hersha was another key player, rushing for 88 yards and one touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie Heights will venture away from home to challenge Bronson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitko, they will head out to take on Peru at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
