Basketball Recap: Ridgevue Comes Up Short

Ridgevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain View Mavericks.

Despite the loss, Ridgevue still got an impressive performance from Tucker Tiddens, who posted 19 points. Kaimana Nielson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Mountain View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Starnes, who had 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Patterson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Ridgevue now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Mountain View, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-9.

Ridgevue will square off against Timberline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgevue is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.1 points per game this season. As for Mountain View, they will challenge Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 59.4 points per game.
