It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but West Harrison ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Harrison Central Red Rebels  9-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  8-4  last Saturday.
 Miranda Parker was  incredible,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Rayleigh Necaise, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Parker wasn't the only one making solid contact: West Harrison  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harrison Central only managed five  hits.
The  win made it two in a row for West Harrison and  bumps their season record up to 10-16. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Harrison Central,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 12-15.
 Coming up, West Harrison will challenge Long Beach at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Hurricanes are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak. As for Harrison Central, they will host Gulfport  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
