Volleyball Recap: Mays Starts Season with Win at Home

Mays took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the South Atlanta Hornets by a score of 2-0. The Raiders were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Hornets, so the Raiders were just returning the favor.

Mays not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept South Atlanta between 15 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mays is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Morrow at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Atlanta, they will face off against Coretta Scott King YWLA at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
