Soccer Recap: Bloomington Comes Up Short

Bloomington saw some tournament action on Monday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Rialto Knights who were credited with the win. The Rialto Knights got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Bloomington Bruins' three. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Knights are ranked 202nd).

Bloomington now has a losing record at 6-7-3. As for Rialto, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7-2.

Bloomington has already played their next contest (against San Gorgonio), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rialto will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Fontana at 5:45 p.m.
