Baseball Recap: Aspermont Comes Up Short

Aspermont came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Jayton Jaybirds, falling 19-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Jaybirds this season, with their most recent loss being a 20-5 defeat on April 6th.

Aspermont's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Jayton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Aspermont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jayton, they will square off against Hermleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
