Bradenton Christian won the last time they faced Braden River and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bradenton Christian Panthers managed a 57-52 win over the Braden River Pirates. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Despite the loss, Braden River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anquan Polynice posted 20 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lawaiian Long, who put up 14 points and five rebounds.

Bradenton Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Braden River, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

After both having extra time off, Bradenton Christian and Bayshore will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Bradenton Christian is facing Bayshore at the right time seeing as Bayshore is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Braden River, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-44 loss against Plant City on the 27th.
