It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wheatland can now relate to. They lost 8-2 to the Hughson Huskies on Monday. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jordan James made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Wheatland's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9-1. As for Hughson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

While Wheatland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
