Soccer Game Preview: Warren vs. Brennan

The Warren Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Brennan Bears at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Warren is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Harlan just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2.

Alexander De Los Santos and Jorge Santiago Perez Guzman scored both of Warren's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Brennan and Taft, and Taft kept the tradition alive. Brennan fell just short of Taft by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bears came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Raiders are ranked 614th).

Brennan's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Warren, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 12-1-2 and their overall record down to 17-3-2.
