Basketball Recap: M. Mccutcheon and F Hart Secure Win for Cedar Grove

Cedar Grove's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 45-33 victory over the Douglass Astros. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Astros: they've now won three in a row.

Leading Cedar Grove to victory were F Hart and M. McCutcheon. Hart posted 16 points, while McCutcheon earned 13 points and four blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hart has scored at least a third of Cedar Grove's points.

Cedar Grove's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for Douglass, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Cedar Grove will head out to square off against Luella at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Luella will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Cedar Grove surely won't give up without a fight. Douglass does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
