Basketball Game Preview: Conrad Academy Eagles vs. Bridge to Independence Wildcats

The Conrad Academy Eagles and the Bridge to Independence Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Bridge to Independence will be up against a hot Conrad Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Conrad Academy really took it to Elite Prep Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-31 win. Conrad Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 33 points or more this season.

Conrad Academy had a senior duo take command as Tarret Valentin posted 13 points and Daniel Rodriguez had 13 points. Rodriguez continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Josiah Brown was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bridge to Independence challenged Crooms Academy on Monday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 68-65.

Conrad Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bridge to Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Conrad Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bridge to Independence in their previous meeting last Friday, but they still walked away with a 72-68 win.
