Football Game Preview: Clay County Bulldogs vs. Copper Basin Cougars + How To Watch

The Clay County Bulldogs will challenge the Copper Basin Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clay County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Last Thursday, Clay County made easy work of Jo Byrns and carried off a 46-21 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 25 points or more this season.

One reason for the win was Clay County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Cage Ashley with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Copper Basin challenged Sale Creek on Thursday. The Cougars took a blow against the Panthers, falling 49-6. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Clay County's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Copper Basin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Clay County took their win against Copper Basin when the teams last played back in November of 2020 by a conclusive 21-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
