Baseball Recap: Dakota Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Dakota and Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Dakota had to settle for second. They lost 10-2 to the Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Dakota saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Mazurkiewicz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

The defeat snapped Dakota's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-13 record. As for Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Dakota nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
