Baseball Recap: Floyd County Takes a Loss

Floyd County was the 7-3 winner over Radford when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Buffaloes fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Buffaloes have suffered since April 10, 2024.

Max Harris made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Bakely, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Floyd County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Radford, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-11-1.

While Floyd County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
