Basketball Recap: Andrew Mikhail Key Part of a Team Effort in Norsemen Win

Valhalla won the last time they faced El Cajon Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Valhalla Norsemen took down the El Cajon Valley Braves 60-43.

Valhalla got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Mikhail out in front who went 7 of 17 en route to 18 points and five assists. That's the most points Mikhail has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was SAMEER MONQAD, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points and seven boards.

Valhalla's record is now 13-9. As for El Cajon Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Valhalla will welcome Santana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valhalla knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Santana likes a good challenge. As for El Cajon Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against West Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season.
