             Burkburnett scored the most  points they've had all season  on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a  blow against the Eagle Mountain Knights, falling  56-26. The Bulldogs' loss continues a  trend for the  squad, making it five in a row.
 Despite the  defeat, Burkburnett saw an underclassman step up:  J'Quan Carroll picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those 89  receiving yards set a new season-high mark for  Carroll.  Brody Boyd also helped out by tossing the rock for 256 yards.
  TERRY STARKS continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Eagle Mountain, rushing for 292 yards while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.
 Burkburnett's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Eagle Mountain, their record is now 3-4.
 Burkburnett is taking a road trip to  face off against Brock  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Brock is coming into the  game with four straight  victories at home,  so Burkburnett will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum. As for Eagle Mountain, they will welcome Bridgeport  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Eagle Mountain is facing Bridgeport at the right time seeing as Bridgeport is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
