Basketball Game Preview: Trico Pioneers vs. Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians

The Trico Pioneers and the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Carlyle took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Trico, who comes in off a win.

Trico took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 40-29 victory over Zeigler-Royalton.

Meanwhile, Carlyle's undefeated season came to an end after eight games on Friday. They took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wesclin. The loss put an end to the Indians/Lady Indians' undefeated start to the season.

Trico's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Carlyle, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Trico came up short against Carlyle in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 39-33. Can Trico avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
