Basketball Recap: North Greene Takes a Loss

The North Greene Spartans might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 39-31 to the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Father McGivney Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Barone, who posted eight points. Owen Kolesa was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

North Greene's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Father McGivney Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-8.

North Greene will be taking part in a tournament against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they will face off against Lebanon at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
