Football Game Preview: Ragsdale Tigers vs. Olympic Trojans + How To Watch

The Ragsdale Tigers will head out to challenge the Olympic Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ragsdale comes in on three and Olympic on eight.

Ragsdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Southwest Guilford 44-13 on Thursday. The Tigers pushed the score to 36-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cowboys had little chance of recovering from.

Ragsdale found their leader in sophomore Cameron Mason, who picked up three sacks and made 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Ragsdale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 294 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Ragsdale's defense and their 11 sacks. Mason and Bryson Covington were the leaders of the group effort as each produced three apiece. Mason is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Olympic had just enough and edged out Hickory Ridge 16-13 on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Ragin' Bulls are ranked 201st).

Olympic's win came from a few key players Ragsdale will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryce Nixon, who rushed for 156 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Chance Cato, who rushed for 57 yards on only eight carries.

Ragsdale's record is now 3-7. As for Olympic, their record now sits at 8-2.
