Basketball Recap: Bryant Takes a Loss

Bryant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took an 89-73 bruising from the Mobile Christian Leopards. If the Hurricanes were looking for revenge after losing 44-41 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mobile Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nicklaus Allen led the charge by going 7 for 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. The dominant performance gave Allen a new career-high in points. Sema'J Law was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points along with five assists and five boards.

Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mobile Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bryant will venture away from home to challenge Gulf Shores at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mobile Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fairview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mobile Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
