Softball Recap: Payette Victorious

While Payette's victory against Firth wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Payette narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Firth 10-8. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Payette's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Firth, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Payette is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Marsing at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Firth, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Fremont at 4:00 p.m. on April 1.
