Basketball Game Preview: East Haven Yellowjackets vs. West Haven Blue Devils

East Haven is 0-4 against West Haven since March of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The East Haven Yellowjackets will square off against the West Haven Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m.

East Haven is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were beaten by Notre Dame 89-42. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Green Knights are ranked first).

Meanwhile, West Haven waltzed into their matchup last Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They beat the Titans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 66-49.

West Haven's record now sits at 17-5. As for East Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Things could have been worse for East Haven, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-52 loss to West Haven in their previous meeting back in January. Can East Haven avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
