Basketball Game Preview: St. Helens Lions vs. Astoria Fishermen

St. Helens is 0-6 against Astoria since January of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The St. Helens Lions will take on the Astoria Fishermen at 7:00 p.m.

Last Wednesday, St. Helens came up short against Seaside and fell 51-41.

Meanwhile, Astoria strolled past Scappoose with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 55-36.

Astoria's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for St. Helens, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

St. Helens ended up a good deal behind Astoria in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 62-45. Can St. Helens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
