Great Hearts Western Hills is leaving town to face John Paul II after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Spartans took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faith Academy on Saturday.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely John Paul II's strategy against Gloria Deo Academy on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Guardians blew the Lions out of the water with an 84-46 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Guardians had established a 30-point advantage.

Great Hearts Western Hills better focus on containing Breshun Wilson and DJ Miller as the pair were huge in John Paul II's win. Wilson dropped a triple-double with 40 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals, while Miller went 10-for-22 en route to 24 points along with seven steals and six assists. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 17 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Velpel, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and three steals.
