Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Nazareth Area

Nazareth Area's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Liberty Hurricanes as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Blue Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6th (when they won 3-0).

Nazareth Area's got stronger as the match went on, holding Liberty to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 25-10.

Nazareth Area had a senior duo take command as Mallory Garland had 11 digs and two aces and Addison Wagner had 11 digs and two aces. Garland has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Liberty's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophie Madeira, who had 13 digs, and Sofia Condoulis, who had 12 kills, five digs, and two aces.

Nazareth Area pushed their record up to 9-9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Liberty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11-2 record this season.

Nazareth Area has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Easton Area on the 8th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Freedom on the 8th.
